Awareness, acceptance, and compassion
Crystal entered healing work from a desire to help others discover their innate perfection and inherent health. She feels strongly that bringing awareness, acceptance, and compassion to ourselves allows for physical and emotional healing.
She is a practicing Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist, Usui Reiki Master, meditation guide, and ordained minister.
Crystal moved to Washington, D.C., from California in 1997 to attend graduate school, where she met her husband. Together, they joined the U.S. State Department as Foreign Service Officers in 1999. While working with Bhutanese and Tibetan refugees in Nepal and Palestinian refugees in the Middle East, Crystal began to hear the call to deepen her understanding, awareness, and compassion for herself and the world around her.
After moving to Washington, D.C., in 2010, she began studying massage therapy, Reiki, and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. She graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2011 and left the State Department in 2012 to devote herself fully to healing work.
Crystal and her husband have two adult children, two dogs, and a cat. They moved to Reedville on Virginia’s Northern Neck in 2024. Crystal established Chrysalis Healing Center in 2026 to bring intuitive healing, end-of-life support, and coaching to her Northern Neck community.
